About Peggy Burns, MFT
Christian Therapist, San Francisco I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been practicing for 9 years. I feel called to help others find healing and growth in their lives. The following is a snapshot of some of my training and work experience:
- 14 continuous years work with Employee Assistance Program in a major institution in San Francisco's financial sector, has given me exposure to issues relevant to the work environment.
- Healing from Loss and Abandonment, Claudia Black
- Emotionally Focused Therapy: Love as an Attachment Bond, Sue Johnson,
- The Gottman Relationship Institute, John Gottman, PHD, (self-study)
- Cleansing Stream leader with Cornerstone Church, San Francisco.
- Joined New Life Ministries as group counselor for “Healing Is A Choice Conference”.
- Trained as group counselor with The Couples Institute in Menlo Park at one of their intensive weekends.
- Four years with Pyramid Alternatives in Pacifica, CA as a school counselor in the Elementary school system. During this time I worked intensively with families and developed my abilities counseling children through play therapy.
